June Letter From Pastor Reggie

Saturday, June 1, 2019 in Blog, News

Summertime is officially here! Be sure to take some time over the next few months to recharge, both physically and spiritually. This is a wonderful time to spend with family and friends, both in God’s house and outside enjoying His creation!

June is going to be an exciting month with many great things happening here at Family Worship Center! Our kids are excited and getting ready for another great VBS. They always have a blast as they learn about Jesus and grow in their relationship with Him. I am also looking forward to celebrating Father’s Day on June 16th; we will have great music, videos, fun giveaways, and an inspirational message for the entire family. I hope to see you there!

Don’t forget about our new time for Prayerlife this summer on Wednesdays from 7-8pm! We want make it easier for families, especially those with kids, to be a part of Prayerlife. We will still have time for gathering and community with food and fellowship available in our Joy Center Lobby before service beginning at 6:30pm and after service. It is my desire to see even more people praying together in God’s house. Prayer is so important in our lives; I often say, “Prayer is the oil that keeps everything working”.  I am believing that during this summer we will draw closer together as family and draw closer to God as we seek Him first in everything we do.

Praying for you always,

Pastor Reggie

May Letter From Pastor Reggie

Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in Blog, News

What an exciting time of year this is!  You can sense the anticipation of summertime with our kids and families.  Just as things are beginning to heat up outside, I believe we should always be anticipating things to heat up in the Spirit every time we gather in God’s house!

As we gather this month, we have an opportunity to honor our mothers.  Mothers, you are so special and what you do is so important.  You have a huge influence on your children and your home.  You truly help set the atmosphere.  Make sure it’s one that is filled with prayer, praise, and worship!

I think of my mom often and thank God for the impact she has had on my life.  Without a praying mom, who knows where I would be!  Moms, keep praying for your children and your grandchildren.  I am living proof that someday you will see the fruit of your prayers!

This Mother’s Day will be extra special as Ms. Bea will be sharing a message for all the moms and families.  Bea has been a wonderful mom to our three boys over the years, and a spiritual mom to so many more through our KidsZone ministry.  It is always such a blessing to see the fruit of her labor, especially on a day like Mother’s Day.

I hope to see you all month, but especially on Mother’s Day!  It will be a wonderful day honoring the mothers and grandmothers in our family.

See you soon and often,

Pastor Reggie

April Letter From Pastor Reggie

Monday, April 1, 2019 in Blog, News

This month we have some exciting celebrations coming up. First, you won’t want to miss Palm Sunday! We will be having baby dedications, receiving family communion, and rejoicing with our family members being water baptized. This will be an exciting Sunday as we prepare for one of our biggest Sundays of the year, Easter!

I’m so excited about our up coming Easter services as we get to worship together and celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection life of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We will have have two services this Easter Sunday at 9:00 and 11:00. This is the perfect day to bring family and friends that you want to see touched in the presence of God. We will have special music, drama, and preaching to tell the story of salvation in a powerful way. There are many people that only come to church this one time of the year. What a perfect opportunity for the Spirit of God to touch them and soften their hearts!

That is one of our greatest desires here at Family Worship Center, to see lives changed in His presence. When He touches lives, they will never be the same, in Jesus Name!

I look forward to celebrating our resurrected Savior together with you as family!

Your Friend,

Pastor Reggie

March Letter From Pastor Reggie

Friday, March 1, 2019 in Blog, News

I remain excited about what God is doing at Family Worship Center! Every week we have many wonderful opportunities to gather in His house and seek Him. We have prayer meetings each day throughout the week. On Wednesdays people are enjoying fellowship in Realife, and Prayerlife has been like Heaven on earth! Then on Sunday mornings we get to worship together, all in one accord!

Let me encourage you to come into this place every week with anticipation and a hunger. Come expecting from God; He is always faithful to show up and do great things! As our church goes higher in the things of God I believe your lives and families will experience this increase as well in every area of life! “As it is in this house, so it is in your house!” My greatest desire is for you to experience God’s very best in your life: where you live, where you work, and where you play.

It is my continued prayer that you and your family will prosper as your soul prospers. Matthew 6:33 instructs us, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” We have God’s Word on it, seek Him first and He will take care of the rest!

See you soon and often,

Pastor Reggie

February Letter From Pastor Reggie

Friday, February 1, 2019 in Blog, News

I trust you and your family are having a great start to 2019. I continue to pray that you prosper in every area just as your soul prospers! I see God at work in our church and in our families, and I believe He wants us to have a successful journey as we seek Him in all things.

Looking back over the years there are many principles and truths that we have held fast to as a church family. One of those truths is that God is a good God. I can tell you with certainty that we stand for this principle today more then ever. You can’t change my mind on the fact that God is always good! You can’t shake it from me, you can’t beat it out of me, and no one will ever convince me otherwise!

The easiest way I know how to explain this is to draw a line down the center of your life; if something is good, it’s from God. If something is not good, then it’s not from God. It really is that simple (James 1:16-17)!

That’s not to say we won’t have trials or bad things that may happen in life. Just know that those things are never from God, and even when we go through something that is hard we don’t have to face it alone. I am so glad we have a Heavenly Father that said He would never leave us or forsake us, and He’s always there when we need Him. Psalms 46:1 makes it clear, “God is our refuge and strength; a very present help in trouble.”

I am a firm believer that God can take something that was meant for destruction and turn it around for good! He’s always working on our side. No matter what things look like we can trust and know that God is always good. You can hold fast to that truth in every area of life.

Praying for you continually,

Pastor Reggie
