February Letter From Pastor Reggie

Monday, February 5, 2018 in Blog, News

What an exciting start to the year we have had!  One thing to be excited about is that we are nearing completion on the Joy Center Pavilion-Park, and looking forward to it’s grand opening soon.  Thank you to everyone who pledged and continues to give towards this project.  It will be a huge addition for everyone at Family Worship Center, but especially for our youth on a weekly basis.

Speaking of our youth, we are thrilled to welcome our new Fuelhouse leaders Ben and Chelsea Smith!  They have such a heart toward our young people, and they bring with them some great experience in youth ministry.  I know they will be a tremendous addition to our team.  They are looking forward to serving our youth and helping them continue to grow in their walk with the Lord.

There are a lot of exciting things going on around here, but what is most exciting to me is how fervent our Sunday mornings have been!  We are seeing such a wonderful presence of God and such a heart for worship.

We always want to welcome His presence because in His presence things change, people are saved, and lives are touched.

John 4:23 proclaims, “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.”

It has always been our goal at Family Worship Center to contend for the Spirit, and we will continue to make that our focus every time we gather.

I invite you to come with anticipation of what He will do as we seek Him and worship together in His house.

Love you much,

Pastor Reggie

January Letter From Pastor Reggie

Monday, January 1, 2018 in Blog, News

Happy and Blessed 2018 everybody!

Together let’s believe God for the best year ever – best for our church and best for every individual & family here at FWC!

God has great and mighty plans for each of us as we continue to seek Him first and follow His way fully. “When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even His enemies to be at peace with him.”

Also, let’s not only stand for our church and family, but let’s stand with our nation in every way, that our nation returns to its roots of Christianity. That we pray without ceasing for America! Praying for our leaders, from our President to our Congress and right on down the line to our state and local levels of government. “First of all, prayers and supplications be made for all men, for “presidents”…and all who are in authority”.

Speaking of prayer, allow me to encourage you to avail yourself to prayer on Wednesday nights, whenever your schedule permits. It is a great time of refueling. It is never the same as the Spirit leads in a variety of ways week after week. I believe you would love these one hour times of worship, the Word and prayer. Come expecting!

Wednesday nights begin at 6:30pm with community time where food, fellowship and teaching are the focus until 7:20pm. Or perhaps you would enjoy hearing my son, Shawn, via video during that same time in the Joy Center Auditorium. Then at 7:30pm our prayer service begins. Come to one or the other, or both and I believe you and your family will be blessed.

Of course Sundays at 10:30am is a wonderful time of celebration with powerful praise and worship, ministry in the Holy Spirit and the Word. Bring a friend, the Holy Spirit will touch them no doubt!

Again, we are so honored that you are a part of FWC and simply want you blessed in every way: spiritually, mentally, and physically.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers”. (3 John1:2)

Love you much,

Pastor Reggie

December Letter From Pastor Reggie

Friday, December 1, 2017 in Blog, News

Christmas is finally here, and I can truly say this is my favorite time of the year! Everywhere we go there is joy and celebrations. The Christmas lights, Christmas music, and saying “Merry Christmas” to people we come in contact with all point to one thing, the birth of our Savior! There is no other time of year like Christmas. We have so many wonderful opportunities to share the love of Jesus with everyone around us.

I am looking forward to our special production this year, “Christmas With Family”. It is going to be better than ever and the perfect opportunity to invite someone to church. We want to reach out to our community and spread the joy of Christmas. We will also have our annual Christmas Eve Candlelight and Communion service that, in my opinion, is the high point of the season. I can’t wait!

This Christmas we rejoice! He was born in a manger, lived, died, and rose again! He is alive and reigns as the King of kings and Lord of lords. Jesus is God’s greatest gift to us and is the reason for the season! Bea and I are praying that this will be the best Christmas ever for you and your family, and that you will be blessed beyond measure in the New Year!

From our family to yours, Merry Christmas!

November Letter From Pastor Reggie

Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in Blog, News

November is here and so is the holiday season! Everywhere we look people are busy and preparing for Thanksgiving and Christmas. This is always an exciting time of year for Bea and I because we get to spend time with our family and most importantly our grandkids! We truly have so much to be thankful for.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving let me encourage you to take some time to stop and look around at everything we have to be thankful for. I am reminded of the hymn that says, “Count your blessings, name them one by one; count your blessings, see what God hath done.” It’s always good to count our blessings, but we shouldn’t just stop there. We should always go and tell someone about God’s goodness and what He has done for us! Psalm 9:1 says, “I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.”

While we are on the subject of Thanksgiving, I want to thank you for your faithfulness towards our Growing Family project. Construction on the park/pavilion is now underway and we are excited about this new addition! This will truly be a blessing to everyone who calls Family Worship Center home.

I pray continually that you and your family are blessed in every way, but especially this Thanksgiving season as we gather to celebrate everything God has done.

You are loved!

October Letter From Pastor Reggie

Sunday, October 1, 2017 in Blog, News

October is here and there is a hint of Fall in the air!  What a wonderful time of the year!  The weather and leaves are starting to change, and we get a sense the year is moving by rapidly.  Seeing all the changes reminds us that God’s Word is always true.  Genesis 8:22 tells us, “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.”  We can’t help but see God’s handiwork in His creation everywhere we look.

Speaking of Fall, we have our annual Hallelujah Night this month and it is going to be bigger than ever!  This year we are adding lots of new and exciting elements that will truly make it fun for the entire family!  We have moved it from  Wednesday to a Sunday evening so that everyone can participate.  I hope you will join us and be sure to invite someone.

I also wanted to let you know that I will be starting a new series this month about being a witness, but it’s not what you might think of in the form of traditional witnessing.  Jesus tells us in Luke 14:23 “Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that My house may be filled.”  This new series is called Go – Compel – Fill.  I know the Lord has put this message on my heart for us as a church so that we will be encouraged to be witnesses in a fresh and new way.

I hope to see you soon and often!

Pastor Reggie
