December Letter from Pastor Reggie
The joy of Christmas is in the air! Everywhere we go decorations are present and music is playing. Bea and I look forward to celebrating with you and your family this special season. Our Christmas Production and Christmas Eve Service are just a couple of the exciting events we have planned this month.
Christmas truly is a special season and a wonderful time to worship. It is my favorite time of year, as we get to celebrate with family and friends the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was and still is God’s GREATEST gift to us. I get so excited when I think about how our God loves us so much that He gave us His best gift, His Son!
“Then the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.’” Luke 2:10-11
So let’s celebrate this year! Let’s continue to share with others this amazing gift of love.
When we are in the marketplace, let’s greet people with a “Merry Christmas.” When we see someone in need, let’s do what we can to help that person. We have the opportunity to give others a gift that is far greater than anything they have ever received. Through our acts of generosity and words of kindness, we enable others to experience the love of God.
“… And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
Sometimes the greatest gifts we get to give aren’t found on store shelves. Instead, they are wrapped in kind, encouraging words, and delivered with selfless acts of kindness. This Christmas let’s do what we can to enhance the joy that is in the air and to make Christmas special for everyone!
Merry Christmas everybody,
