Letter from Pastor Reggie

In anticipation of a brand new and exciting year, let’s take a moment to reflect on some of the great things God did here at FWC in 2015.  We saw wonderful growth in every area, but more importantly was what happened to many of you whose lives were touched for eternity’s sake.  We saw 626 lives changed through salvation, 166 baptisms in water, and scores of people Baptized in the Holy Spirit with a brand new prayer language! We are not sure the number as many received while worshipping in the presence of God during our services.

In addition were healings, freedom from addictions, and restorations in families.  We even saw new relationships that led to engagements and marriages, while many people just found new friends.  There were also some being led into new business opportunities, new jobs, favor in the marketplace, and graduations from different disciplines.  So many blessings, I can’t even begin to count them all.  We even went back on television in 2015 allowing us to continue our influence by affording our community and surrounding area the opportunity to “peep through the window” of FWC and experience the power of God and the Word of God in our services.  God was so good to our church body!  We saw blessings in every area: spiritually, relationally, numerically, and financially.  My prayer continues to be, “Just as it is in this house, so is it in your house.”

Now, as we look to this exciting New Year, allow me to share with great anticipation what is coming: Streams Church begins Sunday, January 17th, at 9:30am, right here on our campus.  This brand new expression is for some of you who want to add to your FWC experience, and especially for those in Lakeland who aren’t already with us on Sunday.  Everywhere around us there are unchurched people, people new to Christ, and people searching with questions not yet answered.  This will be an easy-style service with live, cool music and relevant teachings by Shawn Scarborough on a life-size screen.  Our very own Kevin and Becka Goddard will facilitate the Streams service.  They are newly married and so excited.  You might just love it!  Try it and see!

I am so humbled when I think about what God has done, is doing, and is going to do in the days ahead.  2016 will be a great year and I believe… the best is yet to come!

See you soon, and have a blessed New Year,

Pastor Reggie
