July Letter from Pastor Reggie
We have been blessed with an amazing start to the summer here at Family Worship Center. Through our teaching series “MarketPlace Pentecost”, then Pentecost Sunday, Father’s Day, Vacation Bible School and Jase Robertson, this has truly been an exciting season! I want to especially thank all of the volunteers who helped us and our kids have such a wonderful time at VBS. God has done so much through your service, and He has even greater things planned for us as we continue to enjoy this season.
As we talk of summer, do you know that God has planned times and seasons for us to be refreshed, both physically and spiritually? I hope that during this summer season you can take a break to enjoy life with family and friends (and grandchildren, my personal favorite).
Likewise, God plans to refresh us spiritually as well. Acts 3:19 promises, “that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” As we serve the Lord and turn to Him, we grow to be more like Him, and He refreshes us by His presence! Oh, how wonderful to be refreshed by His presence!
As a church, we desire God’s presence to refresh us, and it’s important that we take the time to seek Him first. Give yourself to seeking the Lord in Sunday morning services, Sunday evening’s Spirit Nite, our daily prayer meetings, and Realife communities on Wednesday nights.
This month, we have the wonderful opportunity to come together and seek after the Lord with Dr. Rodney Howard-Browne, during his ministry’s annual Campmeeting held on our campus. Come and enjoy the presence of the Lord in these meetings; you will be so glad you did.
I know that the Lord is doing great things in your life, and that He has even greater plans for your future. This summer, take time with the Lord and your family, and you will be refreshed!
You are so very loved!
