May Letter from Pastor Reggie
I am looking forward to a couple of great events this month – Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 11 and our Memorial Day Picnic on Monday, May 26.
Mothers are such a blessing. The Word of God is clear – we are to honor our mothers. Even though my mother has stepped over into heaven, I still love to honor her – she was a great woman of God. Her prayers, her care and her love made such a difference in my life. I truly thank God for her upon my every remembrance!
Each and every mother has such a tremendous impact on her home. She can help to build her house up or tear it down. I know that each of you wants to build and strengthen your home and family. We do this through creating an atmosphere of prayer, praise and worship in our homes. You can always tell when a home is filled with the Spirit of God as well as when it is not.
Mothers, we have heard you! The fathers are no longer the only ones drawing for prizes. This year, instead of roses, we will have a drawing for some fantastic giveaways! It will be great fun! Moms, this Mother’s Day service is especially designed for you!
Second, we are planning an absolute blowout of a picnic on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26. Food, fellowship, games, live music, hobbies and much more will be enjoyed by all. Hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks will be provided, just bring a family-sized dish or dessert. I just love a good hot dog – especially a little bit burnt! This will be a tremendous time of wholesome family fun. Hope to see you there!!
