May Letter From Pastor Reggie

Sunday, May 1, 2016 in Blog, News

Summer time is almost here, and you can sense the excitement as kids are ready for school to be out and families are making plans for summer vacation! Here at Family Worship Center, our summers always have lots of great things planned for everyone as well.

As you know, one of the things so important to us at FWC is prayer. I’ve often said it is the oil that keeps the machinery running! We have a great opportunity this Thursday, May 5th , to participate in the National Day of Prayer. The Joy Center auditorium will be open from 7am until 7pm for people to pray at their convenience along with our prayer group leaders covering each hour. And I would like to personally invite you to join me for a special prayer service at noon as we gather together in prayer for our nation…

2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

I have such a sense this year to pray for our nation, for our leaders, and for the upcoming elections. I know when we seek God for his guidance and provision; He will move heaven and earth on our behalf. Join with me as we pray together …

1 Tim 2:1-2 “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”

Mother’s Day is Sunday May 8th, and you won’t want to miss this special day as we get to celebrate our moms. I have such fond memories of my mom. She was a true Pentecostal lady, and I honestly don’t know where I would be today if it weren’t for her prayers. I’m sure many of you could tell similar stories when you think about your mom or grandmother. I hope you will join with me as we honor all of the moms this Mother’s Day.

I am looking forward to an exciting start of summer here at Family Worship Center. It is my hope and prayer that God will bless you and your family in an even greater way as we continue to seek Him together.

Pastor Reggie
