October Letter From Pastor Reggie

Monday, October 1, 2018 in Blog, News

As I look around and see the beginnings of Fall I can’t help but declare God’s goodness! You can see His handiwork in everything, especially in our everyday lives. He loves and cares for us, and the good news is when we are on God’s side we always win!

One of the exciting events we have this time of year is our annual Hallelujah Night. We are expecting it to be the biggest one yet and I can’t think of a better opportunity for us as a church family to reach outward into our local community.

Matthew 5:14-16 says, “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven”.

Let’s join together to be light in a dark world! I hope you will bring your entire family to this fun-filled event and be sure to invite someone. Invite your neighbors, your co-workers, a classmate, or maybe someone you happen to meet at the grocery store. We will have a wonderful time and there will be something for everyone, you won’t want to miss!

As we go into the last part of this year let me encourage you to seek after the things of God. As we draw near to Him, He draws near to us. Continue to use your faith towards God and against the enemy.  If God be for us, who can be against us!

Praying for you always,

Pastor Reggie

September Letter From Pastor Reggie

Saturday, September 1, 2018 in Blog, News

Hello Family! I trust you had a wonderful summer and are moving forward into the fall renewed and refreshed. I can say with certainty that we have been experiencing a refreshing move of the Spirit in our services. What truly excites me most is to see people making decisions for Christ during our altar calls, especially all the young people! His presence makes all the difference as He draws hearts toward Him.

We remain fully committed to the vision that God gave me over 33 years ago, to contend for the Spirit. Each and every time we gather in His house, we yield to what He wants and where He leads us. It is who we are and what makes us…us! “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty”
2 Corinthians 3:17.

God is doing great and exciting things at Family Worship Center! Let me encourage you to jump in and be a part. Go higher in praise, deeper in worship, get into the Word, and build up your spirit man.

At Family Worship Center there are many great opportunities for you to plug into community, to serve, and to give of your time, talent, and treasure in God’s house!

See you soon and often,

Pastor Reggie

August Letter From Pastor Reggie

Wednesday, August 1, 2018 in Blog, News

This summer has been a hot one, but things have also been heating up on the inside here at Family Worship Center!  We have been talking about prayer recently and with that comes a growing fervency in our services that I love to see. Continue to come expecting; His power and presence is what we desire and it never disappoints.

I am very excited about what God is doing in every area here at Family Worship Center, especially in our young people.  I recently had the opportunity to share with our Fuelhouse youth as they kicked off their summer beach trip, and I was so encouraged to see the hunger they have for the things of God.  In all of our student ministries we believe in having BIG FUN! But we also desire to have the life changing power and presence of God  at the forefront of every service.

Let me encourage you to take these last couple of weeks of summer and make the most of it with your family.  Things get busy and schedules fill up quickly as school starts back, but don’t forget to seek God first. Family devotions and prayer are so important and a great way to put God at the center of everything you do as a family.

My continued prayer for you and your family can be found in the words of
3 John 1:2 “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”

You Are Loved,

Pastor Reggie

June Letter From Pastor Reggie

Summer is such a wonderful time for families!  All the kids are out of school, the weather is hot and sunny, most of the time, and the weekends  are filled with BBQ’s and outdoor gatherings.  It has often been a trend for churches to view the summer as a down time, and even cut back. We always do the opposite at Family Worship Center!  We have so many great things planned this month; I hope you will jump in and be a part of what’s happening.

With families in mind, we are launching a new series this month called “Faith, Hope, and Love”.  Our goal is to help build stronger families through a series of Spirit-inspired messages that will include the entire family, no matter what stage of life you find yourself.

From our young singles, to our parents with children, to empty nesters, and especially the grandparents, there will be something for everyone!  Be sure and join us this month for “Faith, Hope, and Love”.

I hope you will draw closer together and make lots of great memories this summer with family and friends.  But most importantly, I always pray that you draw closer to God and walk in His plan and will for your life.  Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

See you soon and often!

May Letter From Pastor Reggie

Tuesday, May 1, 2018 in Blog, News

The month of May is here, and it is obvious that the summer is quickly approaching! Our kids and youth are excited about soon being out of school, and many families are planning vacations and time away during this season. I love to see families having fun and enjoying life together!

I truly believe God wants the best for us and our families. James 1:17 says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.” That has been a hallmark here at Family Worship Center for over 32 years! God is a good God, He loves us, and He only wants good things for us.

Speaking of good things, we get to celebrate moms this month! I hopeyou will join Bea and I as we honor all the moms this Mother’s Day. This will be a special day with exciting things planned for all our moms including some inspirational thoughts from Ms. Bea. Trust me, you don’t want to miss this day!

It is my prayer that this will be the best summer ever for you and your family and that you will be blessed in every area of your life. As we seek God and put Him first He is always faithful.

You Are Loved!
