September Letter From Pastor Reggie

Friday, September 1, 2017 in Blog, News

This is an exciting season here at Family Worship Center! We are seeing wonderful things happen in so many areas. With school back in full-swing, our kids and young people are having tons of fun in their services and we are hearing many great testimonies from families about what God is doing in their lives.

Our Sunday and Wednesday services have been full of excitement, and more importantly God’s presence. I want to thank everyone who spends time in prayer during the week for our services, it truly makes a difference in the Spirit as we gather together with great anticipation!

Let me encourage you as you go through life and face different situations that God always has a plan for you. No matter what things in the world might look like or what circumstances we might face, He has a perfect plan for our lives. You might ask, how can I know God’s specific plan for my life? Scripture tells us that it starts by seeking Him first. Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” We don’t have to stress or worry, God will provide everything we have need of to carry out His perfect plan for our lives, but we must seek Him.

One way to seek Him is together! Thank God we don’t have to do life on our own. There are many great opportunities in God’s house for us to gather together and build Godly friendships. It is always our goal at Family Worship Center to create space for community where people can come together and seek God. So let’s seek Him first and seek Him together!

Pastor Reggie

August Letter From Pastor Reggie

What an amazing summer we have had here at Family Worship Center! While many view the summer months as a slow season for the Church in general, we take quite the opposite view around here. We are seeing great things happening in so many areas that I can’t go a single day without bragging on God’s goodness.

One area is our youth as they recently returned from camp, fired up for God! We are very excited about the new changes launching this month with our youth in Fuelhouse, and the addition of our new group Fuelife. We are also looking forward to Promotion Sunday as all of our Student Ministries begin a new school year.

Today we get to celebrate 32 years here at Family Worship Center. God is so faithful as He continues to lead and guide us by His Holy Spirit. I consider it a privilege that we get to worship and seek Him together every week in His house.

One thing that has been on my heart recently is that we as the Church are continually looking for His return. Hebrews 10:25 says, “not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
I don’t know about you but I get excited when I think about Jesus’ return!

I want to encourage you to be a witness everywhere you go: at school, at work, in the market place, and with your neighbors; invite them and even bring them to church with you. If there is one thing I have witnessed in 32 years of ministry, it’s that God will touch and change people in His presence. That has been a focus here at Family Worship Center from day one, and will continue to be, as we gather together and seek Him until He returns!

July Letter From Pastor Reggie

Saturday, July 1, 2017 in Blog, News

We are having a wonderful summer here at Family Worship Center; I trust you and your family are too!  This is always a special time of year when kids are out of school and families are making an effort to spend extra time together.  Maybe you are traveling on vacation, going to the beach, or simply taking some time to relax and recharge your physical batteries.  Just don’t forget that we all need a spiritual charging as well.  Take some extra time this season to get in God’s presence and allow Him to recharge you spiritually!
On another exciting note, I want to take a moment and thank everyone who has jumped on board with the pavilion-park project, Growing Family.  There has been a tremendous response in contributions and pledges towards this exciting addition.  We are hoping to start construction very soon!  Once completed, this space will benefit our young people on a weekly basis and everyone at FWC for a variety of church wide events we have planned.

Thank you for your faithfulness and generosity, as we continue to grow in every area that God
leads us.

I also want to thank everyone that helped make VBS a tremendous success.  With all of our volunteers’ hard work and hours spent serving we were able to impact hundreds of kids with the power of the Gospel.  This is something that I love to see because the Word of God planted in kids at a young age will work in them and lead them towards Jesus for the rest of their lives!

Thank you for all you do, your prayers, your faithfulness, and your constant support in every way.  We all have an important role to play in what God is doing at Family Worship Center.  Words cannot express how thankful I am for you, and I pray constantly that just as it is in God’s house, so shall it be in your house!

You are loved,

Pastor Reggie

June Letter From Pastor Reggie

Thursday, June 1, 2017 in Blog, News

This is always a fun time of the year!  All the kids are out of school and families are making plans to go on vacation, visit with out-of-town family, or just go to the beach for a weekend.  Speaking as grandparents, Bea and I can’t wait for the grandkids to come and visit; there is nothing we look forward to more!  I can only imagine that God views His children in much the same way.  He loves to spend time with us.

The summer never slows down here at Family Worship Center.  We have many great opportunities for you and your family to gather in God’s house to worship and fellowship together.  As you see we have exciting events planned; one of them being VBS for our kids.  It will be happening this month, and it will be bigger than ever!

I want to also thank everyone who has jumped on board with our new Joy Center pavilion-park project, Growing Family.  This building project is truly bigger than any one person and we have seen a tremendous response thus far.  As I shared with you on Family and Friends Day, this new pavilion-park will be a huge blessing to our youth, but will also be something that benefits everyone who calls Family Worship Center home.  We are planning to break ground very soon!

I look forward to seeing each and every one of your smiling faces this summer!  It is a joy to gather with you and your family each week as we worship together in God’s House.

See you soon and often,

Pastor Reggie

May Letter From Pastor Reggie

Monday, May 1, 2017 in Blog, News

As we get ready for Summer there is a growing sense of excitement!  School will be out soon, and I know all of our young people are beaming with anticipation. Summer is such a great time for families, there is nothing like spending time together and growing together as a family.

In the same way, we also grow together as a church family.  Every time we gather together in God’s house to worship, fellowship, and hear His word, we are walking in obedience to God’s plan and direction for our lives.  Hebrews 10:25 in the Message Bible says, “Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps His Word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.”

We have so many great opportunities to come together as family.  I personally look forward to joining with you each and every week to worship and celebrate what God is doing in

His Family.

Speaking of celebrating, don’t forget that this month we get to celebrate all the moms!  You won’t want to miss our special Mother’s Day service as Bea will be joining me in sharing a message for the entire family.  All I can say is get ready and hang on, she always brings a fun and inspiring word!

I pray continually that you and your family will be blessed in every area and that we will grow in the things of the Lord as we seek Him together.

Your Friend,

Pastor Reggie
