October Letter From Pastor Reggie

Tuesday, October 1, 2019 in Blog, News

What an exciting season we are having at Family Worship Center! As a natural and spiritual father I can’t begin to tell you how proud I am of my son, Pastor Shawn, and the preaching we have heard in this last series, “Joshua Generation”, on the subject of faith. God is so good, and I know He is working with us and in us as we walk out the plans He has for us as a church family.

As we look forward to another holiday season quickly approaching, I know life can get busy and even hectic with family, work, school, kids, and all that comes with it. So let me encourage you to put God first and take a different approach to life than the world does. Purpose to do what’s right no matter what things look like around you. God has made a way for us to live a Kingdom life, a righteous life that is in right-standing with Him. Romans 14:17 tells us, “For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

I know that God wants you to live a life full of joy, not the kind of joy the world seeks after but a Kingdom joy that fills every area of your life. It is my prayer that as we seek after God and His righteousness, we will live in the fullness God has for us and be blessed in all that we do.

You are greatly loved,

Pastor Reggie

September Letter From Pastor Reggie

As we come into this Fall season we are moving forward with great fervency and expectation! The relaunch of our Realife communities has been so well received and Prayerlife is heating up more and more each week. I hope you will join us for fellowship and a time of Spirit-led prayer every Wednesday night.

I am also very excited about our current series “Joshua Generation” that Pastor Shawn is doing. I have said it before and I will say it again; there is power in preaching! Something wonderful happens when we hear the Word of God preached and proclaimed over our lives and our families. I encourage you to be a part and gather with us each week as we worship and hear the Word preached. Trust me, you won’t want to miss a single week of this series!

I continually pray that you and your family will be blessed in every area of your lives, and that you are led by the Holy Spirit in all you do. I am so thankful for you and your faithfulness to God’s house. It is truly my honor to serve together with you and seek Him in everything we do.

Praying for you always,

Pastor Reggie

August Letter From Pastor Reggie

Thursday, August 1, 2019 in Blog, News

I honestly can’t remember a better summer than the one we are having this year! We are enjoying great services on Sundays, powerful prayer on Wednesdays, and our kids and youth just wrapped up a life-changing summer including VBS and Beach Week that I am sure we will see the fruit for years to come.

This month will be a very exciting time here at Family Worship Center. We are celebrating 34 wonderful years! God has been so faithful to us as I look back, His goodness and continued guidance by the Holy Spirit is evident in everything He has led us to accomplish. Today, we remain fully committed to our mission statement: “To create a worship environment through a union of the Word of God and the Spirit of God that will stimulate a progressive Pentecostal community.”

I am also very excited about my son, Shawn, and his family returning to Lakeland! In doing so, Streams Church in Denver will continue as a Family Worship Center campus allowing us to reach even more people with the vision that God has given us as a church.

These are exciting days for us as a church family. I continue to pray that just as God guides and blesses us as a church, He will also guide you and bless your family in everything you do!

July Letter From Pastor Reggie

What a great summer we are having here at Family Worship Center!
We are having wonderful services on Sundays and our Wednesday night fellowship and Prayerlife times have been so impactful. If you are looking for a “summer slump” you won’t find it here!

Summertime is well known for vacations and a time when we all try to relax and recharge our physical bodies. But did you know that you can also be recharged spiritually? Acts 3:19 tells us, “Times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.” Every time we gather together in His presence we can experience a supernatural refreshing. A refreshing that can’t be found on any vacation. While I hope that everyone will take some time for rest and vacation this summer, be sure to refresh and recharge both physically and spiritually!

We have many exciting things planned this month and lots of opportunities for fellowship in God’s house. I hope you will be a part and invite someone in your circle of influence. While we refresh and recharge, let’s make this summer one of impact on ourselves, our families, and those we know.

Praying you are refreshed and renewed!

June Letter From Pastor Reggie

Saturday, June 1, 2019 in Blog, News

Summertime is officially here! Be sure to take some time over the next few months to recharge, both physically and spiritually. This is a wonderful time to spend with family and friends, both in God’s house and outside enjoying His creation!

June is going to be an exciting month with many great things happening here at Family Worship Center! Our kids are excited and getting ready for another great VBS. They always have a blast as they learn about Jesus and grow in their relationship with Him. I am also looking forward to celebrating Father’s Day on June 16th; we will have great music, videos, fun giveaways, and an inspirational message for the entire family. I hope to see you there!

Don’t forget about our new time for Prayerlife this summer on Wednesdays from 7-8pm! We want make it easier for families, especially those with kids, to be a part of Prayerlife. We will still have time for gathering and community with food and fellowship available in our Joy Center Lobby before service beginning at 6:30pm and after service. It is my desire to see even more people praying together in God’s house. Prayer is so important in our lives; I often say, “Prayer is the oil that keeps everything working”.  I am believing that during this summer we will draw closer together as family and draw closer to God as we seek Him first in everything we do.

Praying for you always,

Pastor Reggie
