November Letter From Pastor Reggie

Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in Blog, News

November is here and so is the holiday season! Everywhere we look people are busy and preparing for Thanksgiving and Christmas. This is always an exciting time of year for Bea and I because we get to spend time with our family and most importantly our grandkids! We truly have so much to be thankful for.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving let me encourage you to take some time to stop and look around at everything we have to be thankful for. I am reminded of the hymn that says, “Count your blessings, name them one by one; count your blessings, see what God hath done.” It’s always good to count our blessings, but we shouldn’t just stop there. We should always go and tell someone about God’s goodness and what He has done for us! Psalm 9:1 says, “I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.”

While we are on the subject of Thanksgiving, I want to thank you for your faithfulness towards our Growing Family project. Construction on the park/pavilion is now underway and we are excited about this new addition! This will truly be a blessing to everyone who calls Family Worship Center home.

I pray continually that you and your family are blessed in every way, but especially this Thanksgiving season as we gather to celebrate everything God has done.

You are loved!

October Letter From Pastor Reggie

Sunday, October 1, 2017 in Blog, News

October is here and there is a hint of Fall in the air!  What a wonderful time of the year!  The weather and leaves are starting to change, and we get a sense the year is moving by rapidly.  Seeing all the changes reminds us that God’s Word is always true.  Genesis 8:22 tells us, “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.”  We can’t help but see God’s handiwork in His creation everywhere we look.

Speaking of Fall, we have our annual Hallelujah Night this month and it is going to be bigger than ever!  This year we are adding lots of new and exciting elements that will truly make it fun for the entire family!  We have moved it from  Wednesday to a Sunday evening so that everyone can participate.  I hope you will join us and be sure to invite someone.

I also wanted to let you know that I will be starting a new series this month about being a witness, but it’s not what you might think of in the form of traditional witnessing.  Jesus tells us in Luke 14:23 “Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that My house may be filled.”  This new series is called Go – Compel – Fill.  I know the Lord has put this message on my heart for us as a church so that we will be encouraged to be witnesses in a fresh and new way.

I hope to see you soon and often!

September Letter From Pastor Reggie

Friday, September 1, 2017 in Blog, News

This is an exciting season here at Family Worship Center! We are seeing wonderful things happen in so many areas. With school back in full-swing, our kids and young people are having tons of fun in their services and we are hearing many great testimonies from families about what God is doing in their lives.

Our Sunday and Wednesday services have been full of excitement, and more importantly God’s presence. I want to thank everyone who spends time in prayer during the week for our services, it truly makes a difference in the Spirit as we gather together with great anticipation!

Let me encourage you as you go through life and face different situations that God always has a plan for you. No matter what things in the world might look like or what circumstances we might face, He has a perfect plan for our lives. You might ask, how can I know God’s specific plan for my life? Scripture tells us that it starts by seeking Him first. Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” We don’t have to stress or worry, God will provide everything we have need of to carry out His perfect plan for our lives, but we must seek Him.

One way to seek Him is together! Thank God we don’t have to do life on our own. There are many great opportunities in God’s house for us to gather together and build Godly friendships. It is always our goal at Family Worship Center to create space for community where people can come together and seek God. So let’s seek Him first and seek Him together!

August Letter From Pastor Reggie

Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in Blog, News

What an amazing summer we have had here at Family Worship Center! While many view the summer months as a slow season for the Church in general, we take quite the opposite view around here. We are seeing great things happening in so many areas that I can’t go a single day without bragging on God’s goodness.

One area is our youth as they recently returned from camp, fired up for God! We are very excited about the new changes launching this month with our youth in Fuelhouse, and the addition of our new group Fuelife. We are also looking forward to Promotion Sunday as all of our Student Ministries begin a new school year.

Today we get to celebrate 32 years here at Family Worship Center. God is so faithful as He continues to lead and guide us by His Holy Spirit. I consider it a privilege that we get to worship and seek Him together every week in His house.

One thing that has been on my heart recently is that we as the Church are continually looking for His return. Hebrews 10:25 says, “not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
I don’t know about you but I get excited when I think about Jesus’ return!

I want to encourage you to be a witness everywhere you go: at school, at work, in the market place, and with your neighbors; invite them and even bring them to church with you. If there is one thing I have witnessed in 32 years of ministry, it’s that God will touch and change people in His presence. That has been a focus here at Family Worship Center from day one, and will continue to be, as we gather together and seek Him until He returns!

Your Pastor and Friend,

July Letter From Pastor Reggie

Saturday, July 1, 2017 in Blog, News

We are having a wonderful summer here at Family Worship Center; I trust you and your family are too!  This is always a special time of year when kids are out of school and families are making an effort to spend extra time together.  Maybe you are traveling on vacation, going to the beach, or simply taking some time to relax and recharge your physical batteries.  Just don’t forget that we all need a spiritual charging as well.  Take some extra time this season to get in God’s presence and allow Him to recharge you spiritually!
On another exciting note, I want to take a moment and thank everyone who has jumped on board with the pavilion-park project, Growing Family.  There has been a tremendous response in contributions and pledges towards this exciting addition.  We are hoping to start construction very soon!  Once completed, this space will benefit our young people on a weekly basis and everyone at FWC for a variety of church wide events we have planned.

Thank you for your faithfulness and generosity, as we continue to grow in every area that God
leads us.

I also want to thank everyone that helped make VBS a tremendous success.  With all of our volunteers’ hard work and hours spent serving we were able to impact hundreds of kids with the power of the Gospel.  This is something that I love to see because the Word of God planted in kids at a young age will work in them and lead them towards Jesus for the rest of their lives!

Thank you for all you do, your prayers, your faithfulness, and your constant support in every way.  We all have an important role to play in what God is doing at Family Worship Center.  Words cannot express how thankful I am for you, and I pray constantly that just as it is in God’s house, so shall it be in your house!

You are loved,

Pastor Reggie
