December Letter From

Sunday, December 1, 2019 in Blog, News

Christmas is in the air, and I can tell you this is absolutely my favorite time of the year! Everywhere we go you can see decorations, lights and hear Christmas music. This is such a joyful time of the year, and the best part is that it all points to one thing, the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus!

Luke 2:10-11 declares, “Then the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.’” Christmas is when we celebrate and remember the most important moment in all of history, when God came to us!

Christmas truly is a special season and a wonderful time to worship with family! It is also the perfect time to gather in God’s house and invite someone from your circle of influence who might not normally attend church. This month, we will have our Sunday services that will continue to be filled with wonderful worship and powerful Word. In addition, we will have our Christmas With Family concerts that will be an exciting time for everyone. Then don’t forget about our Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion service that is always a highlight of every year. I also wanted to let you know that Bea and I along with Pastor Shawn and Abigail invite you to participate with us in a special offering to bless our staff on Sunday December 15th.

This is always a special time to celebrate with family and friends, the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was, and still is, God’s greatest gift to us!

Merry Christmas,

Pastor Reggie

November Letter From Pastor Reggie

Monday, November 4, 2019 in Blog, News

As we start the month of November, I can’t help but to be overwhelmed with joy and thanksgiving. I am so thankful for what God is doing in our church and in our lives, what a wonderful season to give thanks!

1 Chronicles 16:34 says, “Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” This has been a common theme at Family Worship Center from the very beginning, and it holds true today more than ever. When we know God is good, our natural response will always be to give Him thanks!

Let me encourage you to take some time this season to reflect on what God has done in your life. It’s like the song writer said, “Count your blessings; name them one by one”. When we take time to list what God has done in our lives it is truly amazing. Then we shouldn’t stop there, we need to tell others what God has done for us and why we are so thankful. That is our testimony! Psalm 9:1 declares, “I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works.”

One of the many things I am thankful for is family. My natural family, my wife Bea, our kids, and especially our grandkids…ha! In the same way, I am also thankful for our church family. I can truly say that I am a blessed man. It is an honor to serve together with you in God’s house, and I will continue to pray for His blessings on all of us as one big family this Thanksgiving season!

Thankful for you always,

Pastor Reggie

October Letter From Pastor Reggie

Tuesday, October 1, 2019 in Blog, News

What an exciting season we are having at Family Worship Center! As a natural and spiritual father I can’t begin to tell you how proud I am of my son, Pastor Shawn, and the preaching we have heard in this last series, “Joshua Generation”, on the subject of faith. God is so good, and I know He is working with us and in us as we walk out the plans He has for us as a church family.

As we look forward to another holiday season quickly approaching, I know life can get busy and even hectic with family, work, school, kids, and all that comes with it. So let me encourage you to put God first and take a different approach to life than the world does. Purpose to do what’s right no matter what things look like around you. God has made a way for us to live a Kingdom life, a righteous life that is in right-standing with Him. Romans 14:17 tells us, “For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

I know that God wants you to live a life full of joy, not the kind of joy the world seeks after but a Kingdom joy that fills every area of your life. It is my prayer that as we seek after God and His righteousness, we will live in the fullness God has for us and be blessed in all that we do.

You are greatly loved,

Pastor Reggie

September Letter From Pastor Reggie

As we come into this Fall season we are moving forward with great fervency and expectation! The relaunch of our Realife communities has been so well received and Prayerlife is heating up more and more each week. I hope you will join us for fellowship and a time of Spirit-led prayer every Wednesday night.

I am also very excited about our current series “Joshua Generation” that Pastor Shawn is doing. I have said it before and I will say it again; there is power in preaching! Something wonderful happens when we hear the Word of God preached and proclaimed over our lives and our families. I encourage you to be a part and gather with us each week as we worship and hear the Word preached. Trust me, you won’t want to miss a single week of this series!

I continually pray that you and your family will be blessed in every area of your lives, and that you are led by the Holy Spirit in all you do. I am so thankful for you and your faithfulness to God’s house. It is truly my honor to serve together with you and seek Him in everything we do.

Praying for you always,

Pastor Reggie

August Letter From Pastor Reggie

Thursday, August 1, 2019 in Blog, News

I honestly can’t remember a better summer than the one we are having this year! We are enjoying great services on Sundays, powerful prayer on Wednesdays, and our kids and youth just wrapped up a life-changing summer including VBS and Beach Week that I am sure we will see the fruit for years to come.

This month will be a very exciting time here at Family Worship Center. We are celebrating 34 wonderful years! God has been so faithful to us as I look back, His goodness and continued guidance by the Holy Spirit is evident in everything He has led us to accomplish. Today, we remain fully committed to our mission statement: “To create a worship environment through a union of the Word of God and the Spirit of God that will stimulate a progressive Pentecostal community.”

I am also very excited about my son, Shawn, and his family returning to Lakeland! In doing so, Streams Church in Denver will continue as a Family Worship Center campus allowing us to reach even more people with the vision that God has given us as a church.

These are exciting days for us as a church family. I continue to pray that just as God guides and blesses us as a church, He will also guide you and bless your family in everything you do!

Pastor Reggie
