December is finally here so let me be the first to say Merry Christmas! This is absolutely my favorite time of the year. What I find so wonderful about Christmas is that a miracle from over 2,000 years ago still brings such great joy and celebration to the entire world.
Christmas is all about the miracle of God sending His one and only Son, Jesus His perfect gift to us. What’s so amazing about this gift is that we not only get to receive it, but we also get to share it! I can’t think of a better time of year to share Jesus with everyone around us. Everywhere we go there is Christmas joy, music playing, people saying “Merry Christmas”, and it’s all about Jesus!
We see the promise of God’s perfect gift in Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
I pray as you celebrate and share the love of Christmas with family and friends that you will create memories that will last forever, and draw closer together. I also pray that during this Christmas season you will draw closer to Him. Jesus, truly is the Reason for the Season.
This is such an exciting time of the year! The holiday season is officially here and everyone is busy preparing for Thanksgiving and Christmas. In the midst of our busy schedules, let’s not forget that we have so much to be thankful for! Psalms 136:1 tells us, “Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever”.
I am thankful for you and our church family; together, we get to seek God and serve in His house. If you have been looking for ways to be a part and get more involved, this is the perfect time of year. We have many great opportunities to serve in God’s house and to reach outward into our local community.
As you prepare for this holiday season don’t forget to take a moment to stop and look around at what God has done. Psalms 9:1 says, “I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.” Let us always be a thankful people, for all He has done, all He is doing, and everything He is going to do!
We will be having a special Day of Thanks modeled after our Wednesday night
Prayerlife service on Sunday, November 18th. I look forward to seeing you this Thanksgiving season. It is always a joy to celebrate God’s goodness with Family!
Thankful for you always,
As I look around and see the beginnings of Fall I can’t help but declare God’s goodness! You can see His handiwork in everything, especially in our everyday lives. He loves and cares for us, and the good news is when we are on God’s side we always win!
One of the exciting events we have this time of year is our annual Hallelujah Night. We are expecting it to be the biggest one yet and I can’t think of a better opportunity for us as a church family to reach outward into our local community.
Matthew 5:14-16 says, “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven”.
Let’s join together to be light in a dark world! I hope you will bring your entire family to this fun-filled event and be sure to invite someone. Invite your neighbors, your co-workers, a classmate, or maybe someone you happen to meet at the grocery store. We will have a wonderful time and there will be something for everyone, you won’t want to miss!
As we go into the last part of this year let me encourage you to seek after the things of God. As we draw near to Him, He draws near to us. Continue to use your faith towards God and against the enemy. If God be for us, who can be against us!
Praying for you always,
Hello Family! I trust you had a wonderful summer and are moving forward into the fall renewed and refreshed. I can say with certainty that we have been experiencing a refreshing move of the Spirit in our services. What truly excites me most is to see people making decisions for Christ during our altar calls, especially all the young people! His presence makes all the difference as He draws hearts toward Him.
We remain fully committed to the vision that God gave me over 33 years ago, to contend for the Spirit. Each and every time we gather in His house, we yield to what He wants and where He leads us. It is who we are and what makes us…us! “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty”
2 Corinthians 3:17.
God is doing great and exciting things at Family Worship Center! Let me encourage you to jump in and be a part. Go higher in praise, deeper in worship, get into the Word, and build up your spirit man.
At Family Worship Center there are many great opportunities for you to plug into community, to serve, and to give of your time, talent, and treasure in God’s house!
See you soon and often,
This summer has been a hot one, but things have also been heating up on the inside here at Family Worship Center! We have been talking about prayer recently and with that comes a growing fervency in our services that I love to see. Continue to come expecting; His power and presence is what we desire and it never disappoints.
I am very excited about what God is doing in every area here at Family Worship Center, especially in our young people. I recently had the opportunity to share with our Fuelhouse youth as they kicked off their summer beach trip, and I was so encouraged to see the hunger they have for the things of God. In all of our student ministries we believe in having BIG FUN! But we also desire to have the life changing power and presence of God at the forefront of every service.
Let me encourage you to take these last couple of weeks of summer and make the most of it with your family. Things get busy and schedules fill up quickly as school starts back, but don’t forget to seek God first. Family devotions and prayer are so important and a great way to put God at the center of everything you do as a family.
My continued prayer for you and your family can be found in the words of
3 John 1:2 “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”
You Are Loved,
